Surprised there's no love for any of the early versions. (Sometimes, I would suggest, once a tune reached the 'featured balled' position it could get a little stale). There's a freshness to these performances right after they broke it out that is raw and very beautiful. Kind of like how some of the 'Blues for Allah' material never sounded any better to me than when they were first performing it in June of '76.
